NEET is one of the biggest entrance examinations for medical aspirants. NEET 2022 Exam Pattern is in a few months and every medical aspirant is gearing up for it. For those who don’t anything about it, it is a National Eligibility Entrance Test through which eligible candidates enter medical colleges in India. It is also necessary to get admission to MBBS colleges abroad. This year’s application form was released on April 6th. The last date to submit the NEET application form is 6th May. NEET exam will be held on July 17. There has been a slight change in NEET exam duration as well. The exam will be held between 2 pm to 5:20 pm. The NEET exam will take place in 545 cities all across India and 12 cities located abroad. The fee to apply for the NEET exam has been increased by 100 rupees. A new term has been introduced this time and that is “Outside India” for those aspirants who live in foreign countries. They need to fill out a fee of a total of 8,500 rupees.

NEET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

In terms of the age restriction, the NEET qualifying conditions have changed this time for the better. The remaining requirements will stay unchanged. The following are the eligibility requirements in terms of age, educational qualification, nationality, and others:

Nationality:

  • Citizens or candidates from the following countries are eligible to apply for NEET:

Age Limit:

New applicants should be aware that the minimum age as of December 31, 2022, is 17 years. Although there is no maximum age restriction this time, aspirants above the age of 25 would be allowed to apply for NEET 2022, according to MCI.

Minimum Qualification

Applicants must qualify for these qualifications to apply for the NEET examination. From a recognized institute, the candidate must have cleared Class 12 or equivalent. Candidates who are appearing for Class 12 or equivalent in summer 2022 can also apply for NEET-UG 2022. Candidates from open schools are also eligible to apply for the NEET examination.

Mandatory Subjects:

The applicants should complete 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.  Candidates who have completed Class 12 or equivalent with Biology as an additional subject are also eligible.

The Minimum Marks Required to Apply for the NEET Examination are:-

  • The general category needs to get at least 50 percent.
  • PWD category students should have at least 45 percent.
  • SC/ST/OBC category students must obtain 40 percent

The application fees are as usual different for each category. Those belonging to the general category need to pay 1600. General EWS and OBC category students need to pay 1500. SC, ST & PwD category students need to pay a total amount of 900. The students living abroad need to pay 8500.
